Collapsing Horizon

from Parallels EP by Black City Lights

/

lyrics

What is this?
Something fearless.
Once, but not so long ago, it was then...
Now the sun fades,
The splitting ground starts to shake.

And it's what's collapsing.
But we don't say it's what's collapsing.
And yet, in a slow denial, our line of sight has been broken,
And now our eyes turn away.

Collapsing horizon.
Light bleeds from eyes once filled with promises.
And how could we stay?
Now we can say it's what's collapsing.

What is this?
Something fearless.
Once, but not so long ago, it was then...
Now the sun fades,
The splitting ground falls away.
